Chambray Fabric
The mention of Chambray dates back to the mid-1500s but it gained popularity during the early twentieth century. Chambray fabric is made with cotton using a dyed warp yarn and a white filling yarn. This gives chambray a more coarse texture than regular cotton.
Chambray material possesses features same as cotton fabric counting breathability, absorbency, softness, etc. Denim chambray offers a denim-like look without the heavyweight. Chambray fabric by yard is best used for making breezy summer dresses, shirts, tops, skirts, etc.
