Fashion has a great connection to a particular identity, yet everybody has their own way of expressing uniqueness.
To promote fashion and sustainable designs, ARCH college of design and business organized the Pink City Design Confluence 2022 along with the Garment exporters association for Rajasthan. The confluence saw multiple panels & sessions with industry experts & entrepreneurs.
The conference brought together researchers, speakers, panelists and delegates from across the world with a common interest in designing for a better future.
The session titled 'Materialize vs Dematerialize -Emerging Trends for Society 5.0’ talked about the trends in textile industry & the future ahead. Along with Archana Surana (Founder & Director, ARCH), Rakshit Poddar (Director, Cheer Sagar Exports) & Rameshwari Kaul (Co-founder, Cotton Rack), Anupam Arya (Co-founder, Fabriclore) was invited as a speaker.
Anupam emphasized the importance of technology in the textile industry, specially crafted textiles. He further added that the existing niche segment of handloom clusters needs technology to pace up to level with the rest of the industry. Over the past 6 years, Fabriclore has continually worked with artisans all across India & is looking forward to building an ecosystem of regional designers & skilled artisans with aid of technology & innovation in designs, crafts & their processes.
